Mother’s Day 2026 - answers in a nutshell
When is Mother’s Day 2026 in the UK?
Mothering Sunday falls on Sunday 15th March 2026 - you can set your calendar.
Who is this guide for?
Anyone looking to buy Mum a sweet treat, that’s kids, siblings, partners, or friends sending something special from afar, whether you’re in Manchester, Birmingham, London or anywhere else in the UK.
What are the best treats to send for Mother’s Day?
Well, that depends on what Mum fancies:
-
Gooey brownies: Rich, gift-ready portions she can enjoy over a few days (no cooking needed!)
-
Cookie delivery (the chunky NYC type): Instantly satisfying, no fuss, and always a hit.
-
Mother’s Day afternoon tea delivery: A proper occasion at home when you want it to feel like a big deal.
The lowdown on next-day delivery
Next-day delivery means your parcel arrives the next day, simple enough! Just pick your delivery date at checkout (e.g. Saturday 14th March for Mother’s Day weekend) and we’ll send it out, just please make sure you are checking to add the Saturday delivery fee at checkout.
Will the box squeeze through a letterbox?
No it won’t, our boxes are a bit too big. Arrange for some to be in or sort of a safe place.
Choose your gift route: brownies, cookies or afternoon tea?
What's the story with Mum? A cuppa and a cosy treat or a full-on Sunday spread? Let's sort it out.
Gift route one: postal brownies (giftable, easy to portion, love at first bite)
Think brownie heaven - each one individually wrapped in paper. Perfect for gifting, these brownies are rich, hearty and taste amazing. Mum can enjoy them over a few days (or all at once - no judgements here)
Who they're good for:
Mums who love a good chocolate fix; families planning Sunday dessert; siblings who can't agree on what to order.
What to order:
-
Brownie box - pick up to 6 or 12 flavours - fun for each sibling to pick a favourite.
-
Best-sellers brownie box - play it safe with our most popular flavours.
-
Brownie & cookie selection box - can't decide? Send both treats together.
Check out our Brownie Delivery page for the flavour line-up. Add a gift message (like "Enjoy, love from me !") and you're good to go.
Gift route two: NYC cookie delivery (crowd-pleaser)
If Mum's all about chunky cookies with her cuppa, this is the one. Think New York-style cookies, crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle, packed with goodies. No fuss, just open and enjoy.
Who they're good for:
Busy mums who need a snack; families with kids/teens who'll fight over the last one; new parents who need a pick-me-up.
Your options:
-
One-off cookie box - a Mother’s Day classic.
-
Cookie subscription, spoil her all year and save 15% by subscribing. Head on over to our Cookie Delivery page and pick out the box that suits you. We've got a range of options from 6 to a dozen cookies to choose from. P.S. By the way, we also mention our cookie subscription on that page, which is great for birthdays, or just because you want to make every month a little sweeter.
Gift route three: Mother's Day afternoon tea delivery (an at-home treat)
Now this is the real deal, a proper afternoon tea in a box. Imagine a selection of brownies, some freshly baked scones that toast just right, a couple of blondies, a pot of jam, a tub of clotted cream and a few tea bags thrown in for good measure. It's like taking Mum out for a nice cuppa, without the parking nightmare or queuing around the block.
Who it's best for:
New mums (any excuse to put their feet up!); grandparents (they love the tradition); families who've been apart for too long and want to catch up over a cuppa (just sync up your clocks and make a day of it).
Want to make it extra special?
Suggest a tea time! In your message, you could say something like: "Let's have tea at 3pm on Sunday and don't worry, no chores allowed!" Then all she has to do is put the kettle on.
Full details can be found on our Luxury Afternoon Tea page, it's a decadent treat box that will make your home feel like a big celebration.
Ordering timeline: getting the treats to Mum on time (without the stress)
Mother's Day 2026 is on Sunday 15 March, so aim to get the goodies delivered by Saturday 14 March. The earlier you order, the better, Mum wouldn’t mind seeing her treat box a day or two early. Here's the rough guide:
-
By 10 March (Tuesday): Gold star! You've got plenty of time to pick out the flavours, sort the card and maybe even send one to yourself for a test run (because, let's be honest, you're probably just as excited as Mum).
-
By 12 March (Thursday, noon): Still good to go. Order and you should get Saturday delivery without any issues.
-
By 13 March (Friday, noon): Last call for sure. Go for it, but choose Saturday delivery and keep your fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly.
We dispatch on the day before the delivery date you choose, using DPD's next-day service. So if you pick 14 March, we'll ship on the 13th.
Remember to set a safe place for the parcel (our shipping policy page explains it, but basically: if Mum's not in, tell DPD where to leave it, like the porch, or the garage).
Delivery FAQs: getting the treats delivered on time, safe places and letterboxes
-
Does next-day delivery mean it will arrive tomorrow?
Yep, it should, but things can go awry, so always add an extra day's buffer if you can (especially at the weekend). -
What's a safe place?
That's the spot you've chosen for the courier to leave the parcel (e.g. the porch, the garage, a locked box). If Mum's out, setting this ensures it won't get left on the street for everyone to see. -
Will the parcel fit through the letterbox?
Sadly not, the boxes are a bit too big to fit through the average letterbox. So make sure someone will be around to take it in, or use delivery instructions. -
Sending to a workplace?
Write down the full address (building name, floor, etc.) and aim for a delivery date when Mum will be there. Cookies are great for the office, no mess and everyone can have a few to share. -
What if Mum's not home on delivery day?
Without a safe place or a note, DPD will usually try to deliver once and then either try again or drop it at a local pickup shop. To avoid that, set a safe place or send it to a neighbour or the reception desk.
Packaging, freshness and dietary notes
Packaging: arriving like a gift
Your treat box should look almost as good as it tastes. We pack everything snugly in sturdy cardboard boxes and recycled paper. The aim is for it to arrive neat and in one piece (and not broken). And, we use eco-friendly materials as much as possible, so you can feel a little bit better about indulging.
Freshness: what to tell Mum
-
Brownies: These are actually pretty hardy. Tell her to keep them in an airtight container on the counter, and they'll still be lovely for up to 1-2 weeks.
-
NYC cookies: Stash them in a cookie jar or tin and they'll stay crunchy and yummy for days.
-
Afternoon tea: It's best to get them eaten sooner rather than later, the scones and cream are best within 3-5 days (and the cream keeps fresh in the fridge). Think of it as a treat for Sunday or Monday!
Dietary notes (especially for gifting)
If Mum is vegan no need to guess, go for the clearly labelled Vegan option and remember, all our treats are baked in a kitchen that uses milk, eggs, wheat, nuts and so on, so we do have to put 'may contain' warnings on them.

Siblings Unite! (And a Note for Workplaces)
If the kids are ordering together, why not keep it simple? Get one person to place the order and the others can chip in by choosing flavours, splitting the cost or just writing a little message to put in the card. That way, Mum only gets one lovely surprise instead of loads of separate deliveries.
For work places, we reckon cookies or mixed boxes are a good shout. That way everyone can have a quick nibble. If you need to order in bulk or set up regular treats for birthdays, work anniversaries etc check out our Corporate Gifting page, we'll handle the quotes and repeat orders.
Ordering for a big team or family? Just let us know and we'll make it easy peasy to set up.
