When someone's laid up the days get long. A box turning up unannounced does more than the contents — it's the reminder that somebody thought of them on an ordinary Tuesday.
Chunky squares, each its own piece, that keep for two weeks, so they can be picked at rather than eaten in one go. Posted on DPD next-day tracked delivery with a printed gift card if you'd like one.

Ours are baked to order and posted next-day, so they arrive fresh rather than having sat in a warehouse. Full squares keep well beside a bed and can be picked at over a fortnight rather than needing eating in one go.
Sending to someone who isn't well
Two practical things worth knowing. First, DPD text a one-hour delivery window on the morning, so nobody has to wait in — and the recipient can move it to a safe place or a neighbour straight from that message.
Second, if they're in hospital rather than at home, send it to where they'll be when they're discharged. Ward deliveries are often refused, and our boxes keep for two weeks so there's no rush.
How your delivery works
Everything goes out on DPD next-day tracked delivery, dispatched the day before your chosen date. Order before 12pm and it can be there tomorrow. Saturday delivery is available for a small additional charge.
On the morning, DPD text and email a one-hour delivery window, so the recipient can pick a safe place, send it to a neighbour, or move it to another day without needing to be in. 98% of our deliveries arrive on time.

How does next-day delivery work?
Order before 12 noon and we bake and post the same day on DPD next-day tracked delivery. On each box you can pick the day you want it to land, up to six months ahead.
Can I add a gift card with a message?
Yes. Tick Add a gift card on the box page, type your message (up to 175 characters) and we print it on a Chummys gift card tucked inside the box. Nothing in the parcel mentions the price.
How long do they keep?
Our brownies are baked fresh to order, and they’ll stay deliciously fudgy for up to 10-14 days. To keep them at their best, store the brownies in an airtight container in a cool, dry spot – this maintains that gooey texture. If you want to enjoy them over a longer period, you can freeze the brownies for up to 3 months. Just wrap them tightly or keep them in the supplied packaging and pop them in the freezer. When you’re ready to indulge, thaw at room temperature or give a quick 10-second microwave zap to recreate that oven-fresh warmth!
What allergens or dietary considerations should I know?
Our bakes contain nuts, peanuts, gluten, eggs, milk and soya, and some contain preservative (sodium metabisulphite), sulphur dioxide and sulphites. E numbers are present in some bakes too. Flavours like Snickers (peanuts) and Ferrero Rocher (hazelnuts) carry nuts by design.
Everything is made in one kitchen where nuts, peanuts, eggs, milk, soya, sesame, gluten and other dairy are all in use, and some ingredients come from factories that handle peanuts and nuts, so we cannot guarantee any box is free from traces. If you, or the person you are sending to, is allergic to any of the above, we would honestly recommend not ordering.
All of our bakes are suitable for vegetarians and contain no alcohol. They are not vegan — for that there is our Vegan box.

What makes a good get well soon gift?
Something that keeps, doesn't need looking after, and can be shared with whoever's visiting. Brownies tick all three — they last two weeks, need no vase or watering, and there's usually a family member glad of one too. Add a free message at checkout so they know who it's from.
Can you deliver to a hospital?
We can deliver to any UK address, but hospitals often won't accept parcels for patients and wards may have food restrictions. We'd suggest sending to their home address instead — our boxes keep for two weeks, so they'll still be good when they're back.
Will they see the price?
Add a printed gift card on the box page and we'll tuck your words under the lid. We never include invoices in our packages, so nothing gives away what it cost.
Do you do anything for special diets?
We have a vegan box made with vegan ingredients. Everything we bake is made in a kitchen that also handles nuts, peanuts, eggs, milk, soya, sesame and gluten, so we can't guarantee freedom from traces — please check our ingredients and allergens page before ordering for someone with an allergy.
